Wow, 2014 is almost here!
Today is the last day of 2013.
The gyms will most likely see an increase in the members attendance the next few weeks, maybe even some new people will join, or catch this, re-join the gym! But we all know how that plays out in most cases. And I can’t deny that this is a true fact, even in my own life. I’ve made plans, matter of fact, I love to make plans, but the truth is not everything planned actually happened.
I’ve recently read posts/comments about NOT making New Years Resolutions because they never pan out anyway, and you really can’t determine what the future holds.
Well, a thought came to me today…. what if instead of making resolutions, we made declarations? What if we affirm what’s already true, and speak positively concerning the things we desire to take place? I know, it sounds different. But really, I’m curious, is it possible we can take those things we write down on paper for the next year, and they have a better chance of success, simply because we say out loud on a regular basis that these things will happen?
How do you prepare? Do you look forward to the New Year? It’s a time that almost forces you to think about the past year and set goals for the next. It makes you reflect on the what you want differently for the next year for you, your family, your career, your business, etc.
I hope to not just make resolutions and plans for the next year, but to actually declare, and announce not only to myself but others, the things I look forward to seeing in 2014. Speaking them out loud on a daily basis is what I choose to do and encourage you to do also. The “I am” and “I believe” statements out of your own mouth are key to our success next year.
With that said, Happy New Year and may 2014 bring to you health, wealth and prosperity in life!
